From facials, massages and spa packages, spoil yourself from top to toe at enodata Spa.
We tried the Intense New Age Facial. Designed for deep rejuvenation, the Intense New Age promised is dubbed ‘four treatments in one’. Your therapist creates a bespoke facial after a thorough skin consultation. Steps include a clinical peel with 30 percent glycolic acid, hydro-microdermabrasion, LED Light therapy and Endota New Age Power Serum Sheet Mask. We floated out with visibly brighter, firmer skin and a total feeling of bliss.
Body WRL, in Rosebery, focuses on Wellness, Recovery, and Longevity. For health-enhancement, choose cryotherapy, float therapy, infra-red saunas, or breathing and meditation. Compression therapy, body composition analysis and body aesthetic and wellness therapies are also on offer. For skin-rejuvenation, opt for oxygen therapy and red light therapy.
We tried Red light therapy with the NovoTHOR Light Pod. It delivers a therapeutic dose of red and near-infrared light. This combination helps build collagen and elastin, as well as reduce inflammation and rejuvenate skin. it’s also said to improve the appearance of cellulite, acne and wrinkles. The results were fantastic, improved with a series of sessions and quality home skincare.
Located in Cronulla, Club W is your one-stop hub for all things fitness – both physical and mental. The Wellness Lounge is home to a number of immersive studios where guests can customise their own workouts. Think: yoga and Pilates in the Ying Pod and higher intensity classes Yang Pod or relaxing and recharging in the Wellness Pod. You can also treat yourself to infrared sauna, LED facials and a Somadome Meditation Pod, that uses light and binaural beats for deep meditation.
We tried the 02 Breathing and Meditation Chair, designed to help you regulate your breathing. As you sink in and the chair reclines, your legs are elevated and oxygen starts to flow. The chair gently warms and massages as your entire body higher intensity classes. You’re also guided through gentle meditation.
Sleek and sophisticated, Crows Nest’s Cryospa offers a range of treatments focused on what they call the three ‘Rs’: Revitalise. Re-energise. Rejuvenate”. Its services include infrared sauna, cryotherapy, Himalayan salt room, led light therapy and Normatec compression therapy.
We road tested the iconic Cryospa signature cryotherapy. Cryotherapy isn’t an easy task, as you’re standing in a chamber that has a temperature of minus-140 degrees Celsius. However, it’s a mere three minute session and you can hop out at any time. It promises a vast range of health improvements, including muscle recovery and pain relief, weight management, improved brain function and mood, focus and sleep improvement.
There’s beauty benefits too. By exposing your skin to subzero temperatures, it purportedly disturbs deep layers of collagen, which respond by tightening and creating more collagen. After just one session, we noticed an elevated sense of being. One of our road-testers said two short sessions improved her sciatica pain immeasurably.
Double Bay’s Wonder Spa has a team of experts who specialise in integrative health therapies. These include detox, colonics, reflexology, pre and post-natal prep and lymphatic drainage. You can complement these with traditional beauty services, too.
We indulged in the Wonder Bespoke Massage, which is customised to treat your unique needs. We opted for rejuvenation and stress-relief, as well as kneading out knots and muscle tension. It really worked. The complimentary addition of Wonder’s infra-red BioMat, designed to encourage detoxification, was sheer bliss. It’s also immune boosting, anti-inflammatory, and extremely restorative. Paired with a green drink from Wonder’s Juice Cleanse range, we left with a genuine glow, inside and out.

Located in Bundall, SSKIN’s treatments include traditional skincare and emerging trends, including Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF). This is an upgraded version of the original “vampire facial” popularised by Kim Kardashian. PRF is said to stimulate cell growth and the production of elastin by using plasma from your own blood to help firm your skin.
Also on offer is The Glass Facial, named for the K-Beauty trend for clear, luminous skin that resembles glass. It involves microinjections of Hyaluronic Acid, together with a microdose toxin. A micro-needling device is passed over the skin to create minuscule punctures, which allow Hyaluronic Acid and microtoxins to enter. You might leave with slightly red, swollen skin, but this should completely calm within a week. After that, you’re promised luminous, smooth, glass-like skin, with a cumulative effect over a few months.
KAILO Wellness Medispa, located The Calile Hotel in Fortitude Valley, offers everything from skin and cosmetic treatments to nutrition advice. There’s also unique Biologique Recherche body treatments, Ayurvedic therapies and energetic healing sessions.
We tried the Hydrafacial. it’s one of the most popular treatments in the world, with one performed every 15 seconds across the globe. The treatment is based on medical-grade dermabrasion and uses a patented three-part regimen to gently but effectively cleanse, exfoliate and infuse intensive serums.
It’s also super quick – taking around 40 minutes (or upgrade to the platinum version around 50 mins). It’s great for getting a pre-event glow. You can also customise the facial with an LED light treatment to support collagen production and serum absorption.
